Delicatessen Kitchen & Bar

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Delicatessen Kichen & Bar, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The food was absolutely fantastic and the wine list was also impressive, offering a great selection to pair with your meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an authentic and delightful French meal. It’s perfect for a romantic dinner, a special celebration, or simply a night out to enjoy amazing food.

What a find! I am not an Adelaide local, but I own a French business, so when travelling to new cities I like to enjoy a French meal where possible. I had already eaten dinner unfortunately, so I just popped in for desert and a glass of wine. The manager gave me a warm welcome and seated me at the bar. I had the parfait, which was delicious and a lovely glass of red. I will definitely be back, it’s a lovely peaceful, professional environment, with the smoothness that only a well oiled team can bring seamlessly. Music and lighting were just right for a date night, I look forward to returning for the whole dining experience.

Dianne and Bali were amazing- super kind and sweet. They still let me order dessert and didn’t rush me to finish it, even though it was very near closing time- I suspect the kitchen might’ve been closed already! They were really happy to chat and were very friendly. Dianne also accompanied me to explore the Deli Cellar, though it was closed today. She explained some interesting things! The dessert was 10/10- highly recommend the chocolate fondant with ice-cream. Overall, amazing place and would definitely visit again next time! If the dessert was healthy and didn’t affect my weight, I would eat that every day… Thank you, Dianne and Bali!!!

The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about the guest experience. The menu offered a well-curated selection of dishes—beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. I particularly enjoyed the balance between classic favourites and more creative, seasonal options. Whether you're stopping in for a casual lunch or a special dinner, Delicatessen delivers quality food, great service, and a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended.

Food Taste/Quality: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Value for Money: 5 We didn't get past the entrees! Beautiful food served professionally & courteously. If we weren't given a table by the door the Atmosphere would have gotten a higher rating. That's the price you pay booking on the day, I guess. Delicious food especially the Brie in Red Wine. The meatballs were epic!

The starters are AMAZING. Three of us had chef’s menu, for starters we had a little bit everything, escargot and pizza are the best. Especially I am a huge pizza fan, I really like the caramelized onion as base and shrimps as topping(I guess?), the sweet and salty flavor combined perfectly. Chicken liver parfait was good too, my friends enjoyed gherkins. we added some money to swap the main course. We got duck leg and breast as well as salmon. Salmon came with peas and bacon, we reckon it was better than duck ,duck was plain,but the sides mash and salad were great. Great atmosphere, a good place for friends.

It isn’t a big showy place and could easily be missed. But it is a cosy restaurant. We didn’t order a lot for the 3 of us but it was filling enough. The side salad definitely tone down the strong and delicious flavour of our two mains. Honestly I would have ordered another salad!! Also the food came out quick.
